Scope
This policy describes information handled when you visit Sleep System Finder, complete the quiz, follow an affiliate link, or contact us. The site is intended for a general United States audience and is not designed to collect protected health information.
Anonymous quiz sessions
The quiz may process sleep position, comfort preferences, temperature preference, partner needs, broad discomfort selections, material preferences, bed size, and budget band. Do not enter names, medical records, detailed health history, addresses, payment information, or other sensitive personal information.
In the default local mode, in-progress answers and results are stored in your browser using local storage. When database persistence is configured, an anonymous quiz session, responses, computed profile, recommendation run, reasons, and compatibility checks may also be stored to provide result access and improve the system. These records use random identifiers rather than names.
Analytics
If configured, we use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site use. Events may include quiz starts and completions, question progress, recommendation views, affiliate clicks, related-article clicks, and contact clicks. We configure analytics to avoid sending form text or direct identifiers. Providers may process device, browser, approximate location, referrer, and interaction data under their own policies.
Advertising, identifiers, and consent
If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may collect, share, and use data to select, measure, limit, personalize, and report ads. Google and other third parties may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ad serving on this site. Where required, we use a Google-certified consent management platform so visitors can make and later revisit consent choices before non-essential advertising storage or personalized advertising is used. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention. Ads remain disabled until the provider, consent settings, and required account configuration are intentionally completed.
Affiliate tracking
Amazon affiliate links may include an associate tag and standard link parameters so a qualifying purchase can be attributed to this site. Amazon receives information when you follow the link and handles that activity under its own privacy practices. We may record an anonymous outbound-click event, not the contents of your Amazon account or purchase.
Contact email and forms
If you email us or use a configured third-party form, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and attachments. Do not send medical records or other sensitive information. The email or form provider processes the message under its policies.
Retention and security
Browser-stored quiz data remains until it is replaced or you clear site data. Server-side anonymous quiz and analytics records, when enabled, are retained only as long as useful for operating, securing, and improving the service, then deleted or aggregated. Contact messages may be retained while needed to respond and maintain business records. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can clear local storage and cookies through browser controls, use privacy or ad settings offered by providers, decline to complete the quiz, or avoid affiliate links. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about data practices. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information.
